Start with the handover, not the label
An ERP brings related business records into a shared workspace. The useful question is not whether a product calls itself adaptive. It is whether your team can follow a real customer request through the records needed to deliver, bill and review the work. Configuration helps when your terminology and responsibilities differ from another business, but it does not remove the need for a clear process.
What configuration can help with
In TerminalERP, industry presentation, custom fields and roles can shape the working environment. Customer and quotation records support commercial handovers; project time, purchasing, stock and financial reports support different operational tasks. Verify each required workflow against the current feature page and the plan that includes it. An industry label is not proof that a specialist process or regulated activity is covered.
Walk through one complete example
Choose an enquiry that your team understands. Record the customer, prepare the quotation, review acceptance evidence, and check the next supported billing or delivery step. Follow the resulting record identifiers rather than judging only the dashboard. Include a partial payment, a correction or a permission restriction in the test so the exception path is visible.
Decide what good looks like
The right outcome is understandable records, clear ownership and a repeatable review. Set a small acceptance checklist before importing more history: the expected customer is linked, amounts agree, statuses make sense, and the responsible person can perform the next action. Configuration does not itself guarantee a faster rollout, lower cost or unrestricted scale.
