Record time with the billing agreement in view

Keep dated work, approval and billing eligibility clear.

Before you start

You need access to the relevant customer or project and its billing agreement. Check whether you are using general time entries or the project-timesheet workflow.

Time to billing

Bring reviewed work into the billing conversation.

  1. Dated time + agreement
  2. Approval and eligibility review
  3. Eligible billable unbilled time
  4. Invoice review
  5. Pending, covered or already billed

Follow these steps

  1. Choose the appropriate customer or open project.
  2. Enter the required start time, end time and timezone.
  3. Review the calculated duration and billable status.
  4. For a retainer, check the remaining included hours and split a crossing entry.
  5. Submit and inspect the approval or pending-review state.

Check the result

The entry records the dated work and its current review state. It is not automatically invoiced or paid.

If you get stuck

Check dates, timezone, project status and the agreement. Closed projects reject ordinary new time entries. Follow the linked correction workflow for a previously recorded entry.

One thing to remember

A two-hour entry with one included hour remaining must be split into one covered hour and one additional billable hour. Complete the required independent approval before billing.

Keep going

Still stuck?

Before contacting support:

  1. Confirm the workspace, record number, date range and status.
  2. Check your role permissions and the source document.
  3. Refresh once and search for the record before repeating a submission.
  4. Check the relevant guide for the next action; do not force a match, posting or approval.

If you still need help, include the page address, exact message, time, expected result and checks already completed. Never send passwords, API keys, payment-card details or provider secrets.
