Before you start
You need the appropriate asset and accounting access. Check acquisition evidence, the asset basis and any period restrictions.
Follow these steps
- Open the asset and review its acquisition and depreciation history.
- Check whether depreciation is already recorded for the current calendar month.
- Run the available depreciation action when appropriate.
- Inspect the resulting history and journal reference.
Check the result
The action uses the current posting date and prevents a second depreciation posting for the same asset in that calendar month.
If you get stuck
After an interrupted response, inspect the history before assuming the action failed. Review any validation or existing-journal message rather than creating a manual duplicate.
One thing to remember
This screen has no month picker and is not a backdated schedule generator. Use the supported reviewed process for corrections.

Still stuck?
Before contacting support:
- Confirm the workspace, record number, date range and status.
- Check your role permissions and the source document.
- Refresh once and search for the record before repeating a submission.
- Check the relevant guide for the next action; do not force a match, posting or approval.
If you still need help, include the page address, exact message, time, expected result and checks already completed. Never send passwords, API keys, payment-card details or provider secrets.
