Before you start
You need the permitted receipt action, an invoice with an eligible balance and a receipt reference from your payment evidence. Confirm the amount and currency.
Follow these steps
- Open the invoice detail and inspect existing receipts.
- Find Record a payment already received.
- Enter the amount and a meaningful receipt reference.
- Review both against the actual payment, then choose Record payment once.
- Check the resulting receipt, amount paid and remaining balance.
Check the result
The invoice reflects the recorded receipt when the action succeeds. A partial payment can leave a balance outstanding.
If you get stuck
If the response is interrupted, inspect the invoice before repeating the action. If the amount is rejected, compare it with the available balance and the error message.
One thing to remember
Do not record a promised payment as received. Do not use this form for a refund or a credit note; those have different accounting effects.
Record actual payment
Keep the payment and remaining balance clear.
