Create the right catalog item

Choose the item type before setting up stock, pricing or delivery details.

Before you start

You need catalog access and a clear description of what you sell or buy. Search for an existing item first.

Follow these steps

  1. Choose the appropriate standard, non-stock, digital, service or subscription type.
  2. Enter the required name and relevant identifiers.
  3. Review supported variants and units of measure.
  4. Use the supported opening-stock process where applicable.
  5. Save and check the item in the intended transaction.

Check the result

The item is available where its type and active state are supported. Catalog creation alone does not establish fulfilment or payment.

If you get stuck

Check item type, active state and workflow eligibility if it is missing from a selector. Review existing names and identifiers before creating another copy.

One thing to remember

A subscription item alone does not create a recurring agreement. Digital-file access follows supported grants, file versions and access limits; adding a digital catalog entry alone does not deliver a file.

Keep going

Still stuck?

Before contacting support:

  1. Confirm the workspace, record number, date range and status.
  2. Check your role permissions and the source document.
  3. Refresh once and search for the record before repeating a submission.
  4. Check the relevant guide for the next action; do not force a match, posting or approval.

If you still need help, include the page address, exact message, time, expected result and checks already completed. Never send passwords, API keys, payment-card details or provider secrets.
