Configure a Stripe connection without confusing saved keys with a tested payment

Connect the Stripe credentials used by your workspace, then verify the complete payment flow before relying on it for customer receipts. A Connected badge alone is not a successful transaction.

Before you start

You need permission to manage integrations, a Stripe account and the correct credentials for the environment. Arrange a test environment before using real payment details.

Follow these steps

  1. Open Integrations and find Stripe.
  2. Choose Connect App, or Edit Connection if already connected.
  3. Enter the API key.
  4. Supply the matching webhook signing secret when configuring payment notifications.
  5. Save the connection.
  6. When editing, leaving the API key blank preserves the existing key.
  7. Arrange an end-to-end payment and notification check in a test environment before accepting live payments.

Check the result

The card shows the saved connection status. Saving does not authenticate the key with Stripe or prove webhook delivery.

If you get stuck

Check that the key and webhook secret belong to the same environment. Ask support to inspect the notification configuration if a payment succeeds at the provider but is not reflected in the workspace. Never paste secrets into a ticket.

One thing to remember

Provider availability, transaction fees and supported payment methods depend on Stripe and the business account. This guide does not promise Apple Pay, Google Pay or availability in every country.

Keep going

Still need a hand?

Tell us what you tried, what you expected and what happened. Keep passwords, API keys and private customer information out of your message.

Open a support ticket. Visitors without a workspace can contact us.

Still stuck?

Before contacting support:

  1. Confirm the workspace, record number, date range and status.
  2. Check your role permissions and the source document.
  3. Refresh once and search for the record before repeating a submission.
  4. Check the relevant guide for the next action; do not force a match, posting or approval.

If you still need help, include the page address, exact message, time, expected result and checks already completed. Never send passwords, API keys, payment-card details or provider secrets.
